Ipswich Town travel to Nottingham Forest on Sunday hoping to add to the misery of David Platt's First season in charge.

The Forest boss has been heavily criticised after a disappointing start to the campaign and the former England midfielder is coming under increasing pressure from fans.

He has been unable to reverse the fading fortunes of the former European Cup winners and Town will be hoping to take advantage to record their third straight win.

Forest currently lie 18th in the First Division table and are just three points above the drop zone.

Town, who lost 2-1 in their last visit to the City Ground when Forest were promoted two seasons ago, go in search of their third win away from home.

George Burley's side beat Forest 3-1 on the opening day of the season and he will be hoping for a similar result in front of the Sky television cameras.

He said: "I am surprised they are in the bottom half of the league because they have spent heavily on players. They are not performing well as a team but they are doing a lot better at home than they are away.

"It's a question of getting them to play well together and I'm sure the manager David Platt is working hard on the training ground.

"But we aim to take advantage of them on Sunday and record our third straight win in a row."

Richard Naylor (suspended) is the only player ruled out but Manuel Thetis (Achilles) is a doubt. Matt Holland (virus) should recover in time to make the trip.

Trialist Odd Inge Olsen has returned to Norway following a short spell at the club. Burley still has an interest in the player and he is expected to return for another spell after Town's game on December 7.
