The Essex Air Ambulance service is flying high after receiving a £1,000 cash boost, thanks to fundraising Freemasons.

A cheque was presented to the Air Ambulance fund at a ceremony at its headquarters at Boreham Airfield yesterday.

The Grand Almoner for the Provincial Grand Lodge of Essex, Michael Withams, presented the money on behalf of his group.
