Chelmsford trampolinist Robert Aldous is celebrating after being crowned the under 13 national champion at the grade B national finals, which were held in Chippenham, Wiltshire at the weekend.
Robert, 12, a member of Riverside Trampoline Club, has reached the pinnacle of his trampolining career so far.
He has enjoyed a highly successful year coming first or second in the majority of his competitions, while scoring high above the qualifying mark to enter the British Trampoline Federation's highest grade, grade A.
Robert, who will be going into the under 15 years age group next year, will be representing his school, Boswells, Chelmsford, this weekend in the divisional schools competition in Southend.
He will be training hard into the new Millennium on new more complex moves to increase the difficulty of his already complicated voluntary routine.
Robert now hopes to fulfil his ambitions of reaching the top of grade A from where the England squad is selected.
