Tiptree's Ali Carter has rocketed into the final of the Benson and Hedges International in Malvern and is bidding to join snooker's elite.
The Essex star is just one win away from the Masters at Wembley in February. The winner of the Malvern tournament qualifies automatically for the prestigious event in London, which features the world's top 16 players.
Carter, 20, moved into the final of the tournament on Tuesday beating Derbyshire's Matt Wilson 6-4.
He will now take on Yorkshireman Simon Bedford, who beat Gary Ponting 6-4.
