Devan destroys leaders

EKCO MONARCHS 151-8

BLUEHOUSE 152-1

(BLUEHOUSE WON)

Inspired by opening batsman Devan, Bluehouse swept aside Mid-Essex League Division Four leaders Ekco Monarchs as they cruised to a nine wicket victory in this encounter.

Devan, who smashed a remarkable 157 not out in his side's previous match, claimed an impressive century.

The Monarchs never got to grips with the fiery Bluehouse opening attack of Reno Mason, who took 3-29, and Andy Flint, 2-31, which left their team mates Richard Seeley and Ian Key to mop up and keep their opponents' score down.

The scene was then set for Devan to hit a club record second consecutive ton as he sealed the Monarchs' fate with 102 from 30 overs.
