Transfer-listed Richard Wilkins is a shock inclusion in Colchester United's starting line-up for tomorrow's big Division Two kick-off at Chesterfield.

And exciting French-Zairos winger Lomana Tresor Lua Lua, who scored on his League debut at Chesterfield in January, has recovered from injury and will also be in the side at Saltergate.

U's boss Mick Wadsworth said: "I'm very optimistic and looking forward to the match. Lomana is fit and raring to go," he added, "and I hope Richard Wilkins's inclusion is a pleasant surprise for everyone.

"Contrary to what a lot of people may think, Richard and I get along very well. I think Richard himself thought he wouldn't be figuring much in my plans this year.

"But he is a very good player and although he is on the transfer list, he is still contracted to us for another year and has a large part to play."

Wadsworth was equally enthusiastic about the fact that Lua Lua has shaken off the knee ligament injury that threatened his inclusion in the line-up.

The U's chief added: "Lomana reporting in fit was the best news I've had today."

With Jamie Moralee, Steve Forbes and Geraint Williams definitely ruled out, the U's boss will want every fit player available for a start to the season he described as "very tough".

He said: "They don't come much tougher than Chesterfield. John Duncan has done a great job over the years and I rate them good enough to finish in the top five or six."

U's probable team: Brown, Duguid, Keith, Wilkins, Burton, Greene, Aspinall, Gregory, Launders, Dozzell, Lua Lua.
