Hundreds of visitors had a day out full of animal magic at the Remus Memorial Horse Sanctuary open day, raising thousands of pounds for mistreated and abandoned animals.
Visitors flooded into the Buttsbury sanctuary on Sunday, taking advantage of the scorching weather to say hello to Sharon the pig, Butch the one ton, one eyed bullock and more than 100 other horses, donkeys, goats and sheep the sanctuary cares for.
Sanctuary spokesman Vicky Thorogood said: "It's a very long, hard day's work but everyone seemed to have a good time and that makes it all worthwhile."
The day raised £3,355 for the sanctuary, money which will be used to care for animals often recovering from appalling hardships.
