In Group One of the Raffingers Matchplay Cricket Competition, a competition for clubs' under 16 teams, Hornchurch recorded an emphatic 116 run win over South Woodham Ferrers.
Hornchurch were dismissed for 180, Greg Singleton top scoring with 42, and they then skittled South Woodham Ferrers out for just 64, Graham Heather returning an impressive four for eight and Lee Farquhar three for 11.
Hornchurch followed this win up with another emphatic success, an eight wicket victory over Belhus, Singleton this time starrring with the ball,as he took five wickets for five runs to help bowl Belhus out for just 31.
Graham Heather (2-8) was again among the wickets, and Hornchurch passed their target for the loss of just two wickets
