A nurse at a care home has been convicted by a jury on a charge of indecent assault on a fellow member of staff.
Francis Oduro, 58, of Lupin Drive, Chelmsford, was cleared on another three similar charges but a jury at Chelmsford Crown Court failed to reach verdicts on two more indecent assault charges.
They were discharged from giving verdicts by trial Judge Benjamin Pearson and he gave the prosecution a week to consider the possibility of a retrial on the two remaining matters.
Oduro had denied all the charges and he told the jury the claims made by female care workers at a mid Essex care home were "completely untrue." He said he was just being friendly towards the women and this was to show his appreciation for their work.
He was granted bail until a decision on any retrial is made.
