A difficult search was today under way to rescue a baby seal from the sea.
The seal was spotted by a passer-by in waters at Holland on Sea at about 8am and coastguards were alerted.
Since then the sick creature has been drifting in and out with the tide, heading up the coast towards Clacton. Rescuers were offshore in boats trying to rescue it and Haven Vets were on stand-by.
