A tapestry will help put Thundersley on the map after being stitched by youngsters to hang in the Millennium Dome.
Pupils from the Cedar Hall Special School have been working hard on the picture for the last six weeks.
The hand-stitched work of art has a leisure theme, with pictures of the sun, an aeroplane and people playing in the beach.
The finished tapestry will be collected from the Hart Road school in September and hung in the leisure zone.
Headteacher, Chris Bent, said: "The pupils first of all set about designing the tapestry on paper before starting the stitching.
"Almost all of our students have been involved at some stage and have really enjoyed doing it.
"It looks really impressive and I have had many encouraging comments on it from new parents being shown around the school.
"Hopefully we will all be able to go up and see it when it goes on display in the dome."
Fun theme - stitchers Louise Garland, 11, Matthew Littley, ten, Graig Williams, ten, and Michael Hulson, nine
