Tiptree turned out three teams for the Ekiden-Marathon Relay in Woodbridge, Suffolk on Sunday.
In sight of the windmill and bathed in glorious sunshine, this proved an enjoyable and successful day's racing.
Tiptree won both the male and female vet trophies with some fine individual performances.
Chris Applegate finished the first leg well up the field and first veteran Baron Beckett held the lead and Alan Fisher produced the third consecutive leg averaging sub-6 minute miling as the men claimed the vets team trophy.
Helen Ivory took the ladies vets team off with a flyer and with County medal winner Brigid Wallen in such good form the team thoroughly deserved their trophy.
