A school-leaver has made her mark on the tourism industry just 18 months after starting her first job.
Debbie Williams, 17, has been made trainee of the year by her company Intatravel in recognition of all the hard work she has done at their Wickford High Street branch.
The former Beauchamps School pupil was nominated by her manager, Clare Spacey, because of her enthusiasm, helpful attitude and sales record.
Clare, said: "All the customers love her and she is quite exceptional. We're very proud."
Debbie, of Fourth Avenue, Wickford, was invited to a plush awards ceremony at a hotel in Ingatestone and was presented with a full holiday for two to Disneyland, Paris.
She said: "I was really, really pleased and it was a complete surprise.
"I've always been interested in geography and I decide last year I really wanted to go into tourism.
"It's been really interesting. I hope to eventually manage my own branch in a few years' time."
