A recruitment frenzy is expected to hit Basildon as the last stores to announce plans to move into Fodderwick tout for staff.
Now the £30 million shopping complex even has an official name.
After years of being known as Fodderwick - then going under the working title of the Towngate Centre - it has now been christened Westgate Park.
The 140,000 sq ft complex - named to complement the Eastgate Centre - will be home to Shoe City, it has just been announced.
Teesland Group is behind the showpiece complex project.
The news comes as one of Britain's fastest growing superstore concepts, Hobbycraft, trawls the area for staff to fill its Westgate Park site. The store caters for anyone interested in hobbies, with goods from craft materials to equipment and accessories on offer.
Hobbycraft is looking for a range of staff, from stock controllers to supervisors and sales assistants. Now just one more company is yet to announce its involvement.
The Westgate Park shopping centre is set to open for business in time for the Christmas rush, and has brought in interest from a number of big names.
The centre, on the site of the old Fodderwick car park, will offer ten shops and two pubs to visitors.
Stores now signed up to move into the shopping centre are HobbyCraft, Powerhouse, JD Sports, Rosebys, Argos, Scottish and Newcastle pub, Yates's Wine Lodge, Wilkinsons, MVC and the Holiday Hypermarket.
