From drama to motorised skateboarding there's something for youngsters during Maldon and Burnham's Have-A-Go-Week.
Sessions for young people aged 11 to 16 have been organised by Maldon District Council and the Maldon Locality Youth Service and will run from Monday, August 16 to 20 at various locations in the district.
The week kicks off with an arts and crafts workshop which will cover a range of activities including breeze block carving, wire sculpture, fantasy faces and plaster sculpturing.
There are other sessions on computer music, archery, treasure hunt, judo and dance.
District council arts development officer Sarah Cook said: We hope we are offering an exciting programme of activities not just art but sports and visits which will appeal to all age groups and give them something to do in the long summer holidays.
"It is the second year we have done this and it is very heavily subsidised, offering it at £2 for a half day session."
