Teddybears the inspiration
Benton Hall Golf Club's Eileen Mackay's fondness for teddybears inspired the theme for her Captain's Day on Thursday.
Eileen was greeted by the Ladies of Benton Hall all sporting their own, or borrowed, bears.
Her buggy for the day was decorated by her Vice Captain, Liz Edwards, with teddy bear curtains and a hamper containing marmalade sandwiches and honey.
Keeping Eileen company for her day was a life sized bear and, as a special surprise, her son, James and his wife who drove her about the course.
Strawberries and wine were also on board so that she, as well as the bears, had refreshment.
Strangers to the course would have been surprised to see the teddy bears picnic taking place on the lawn outside the entrance to the Golf Club.
