Pop sensation Tina Cousins thrilled an audience with her guest appearance at a country club.
Tina sang her hit songs ending with her new release, Forever, at Cupid's Country Club in Great Wakering.
Delighted organiser Steven Kelly said: "She was brilliant. Everyone thought she was fantastic and kept following her round all evening.
"She was saying this would have been her first night off in four months."
Steven, 17, of Harrier Close, Shoebury, began fixing up the event as part of a project for his GNVQ business intermediate course at South East Essex College.
Although the course finished before the charity gala took place, Steven made sure it still went ahead, and it raised £600 for the Cancer Research Campaign.
Many shops donated goods for the raffle, and a number of stars like Fatboy Slim, Billie, All Saints, Martine McCutcheon, Rowan Atkinson and Lenny Henry gave signed photos or albums.
Steven paid tribute to college friend Georgina Raven, 17, who also helped with the organisation, along with family and friends. He said: "I was amazed when we managed to raise £600."
