Chelmsford's World Junior Athletics champion Julie Pratt won her final race before the European Under-23 Championships when she ran 13.81 to take the 100 metre hurdles at the CGU International at Hexham on Sunday.
Julie, 20, from Chelmer Village, was delighted with the performance, in which she had to run into a stiff headwind, and now has 'two weeks of hard training' before travelling to Gothenburg for the championships.
The match featured a three-way battle between Great Britain, Spain and France, with British athletes also chasing qualifying times for the forthcoming European Under-23 Championships in Sweden.
Led by Welsh sprinter Christian Malcolm, Great Britain won the match.
