Bored youngsters need look no further than their local park for entertainment this summer.
For six weeks Basildon Council's mobile Fun in the Park will be touring the district.
Basil Bear will appear to organise games, competitions, crafts and a bouncy castle.
Many activities will be free to youngsters aged five to 14 years old, but children aged under eight must be accompanied by an adult.
Fun in the Park will be at the following sites:
Lake Meadows, Billericay, July 26 to September 3, 11.30am-3.30pm weekdays, noon-3pm weekends
Gloucester Park, Basildon, July 26 to September 3, 11.30am-3.30pm weekdays, noon-3pm weekends
Five Links central green, Laindon, July 26 to September 3, 11am-1pm weekdays
Luncies Road, Barstable, July 26 to 30, 2-4pm
Northlands Park, Felmores, July 29 and 30 and August 2,3 and 30, 11am-1pm
Mopsies Park, Basildon, August 9 to 13, 11.30am to 3.30pm
Moss Close, Vange, August 9 to 13, 2-4pm
l Pound Lane Recreation Ground, Laindon, August 16 to 20 and August 31 to September 3, 11am-1pm
Vange Hill Drive, near the community centre, August 16 to 20 and 23 to 27, 2-4pm
Markhams Chase open space, Lee Chapel North, August 23 to 27, 11am-1pm
Rokescroft open space, August 23 to 27, 2-4pm
Wickford Memorial Park, Wickford, August 31 to September 3, 2-4pm.
