Sunday saw a team of lady walkers from Burnham Rugby Club set off from Bradwell for a 17-mile walk.
The purpose of the walk was to raise funds for a new playing strip for the ladies and also any excess amount raised going towards much needed training equipment.
The weather was kind, if not a little hot, with much water being drunk en route and sun block being applied.
The walk turned out to be a success albeit with one or two sore feet, but a happy bunch of determined ladies nevertheless and with all the organisation being done by the ladies themselves.
The ladies training will continue while the men's senior training continues at the Dengie Sports Centre on Tuesdays from 7.30pm.
