Two men are celebrating an £80,000 payout from an industrial tribunal.
Raven Trailers were found to have unfairly dismissed John Tipple, of Dovercourt, and Graham Carter.
The award has come in three parts. Both men received £2,900 for unfair dismissal, £29,000 for aggravating circumstances and six months wages. An additional award of £275 was made for inconvenience incurred.
Raven Trailers was not represented at the Bury St Edmunds tribunal. The Ipswich company is in voluntary liquidation.
Mr Tipple and Mr Carter claimed they were dismissed from their jobs on March 29 following union involvement. In the weeks before they had attempted to recruit colleagues into their union, the GMB.
Speaking yesterday, Mr Tipple, 44, of Dovercourt, said: "We would not have been able to do this without the help of the GMB. It's good to know that trade unions are alive and well."
