Pupils at the King Edmund School in Rochford have given a helping hand to Little Haven Children's Hospice.
Around 1,200 students took part in a non-uniform day and various other fundraising events during term time and raised £2,000 for the charity.
Pupils Leah Wright and Kristina Thompson who go to the school, in Vaughan Close, Rochford, presented the cheque to a representative from the hospice during a special assembly.
