Race walker Dominic King has scooped a silver medal in the Schools' Home International Championship.
The Colchester-based athlete, 16, came second in the 3km walk, which was the opening event in the championships held in Carmarthen, South Wales.
He was beaten into second place by team-mate Lloyd Finch despite an excellent time of 13m 41.72s, just outside his own personal best.
Dominic has now been invited to train with the senior walking squad along with twin brother Daniel and Finch.
