Billericay started life under new boss Gary Calder with a commendable opening friendly result against Nationwide League Division Three outfit Barnet.
A goalless affair against a side who used most of their League players during the proceedings was no mean feat - the New Lodge outfit also missed out on a penalty.
Both sides used large squads - Billericay had 25 players in all in action and a couple of summer signings, Sammy Cooper and Courtney Naylor, were kept out of action due to niggling knocks.
Both could be involved tonight when Southend United come to New Lodge (7.30pm) and Calder said: "I was quite pleased with our display in the opening friendly against experienced opposition.
"To be honest results count for nothing in these games. Obviously what we must start doing now is getting down to working with smaller groups for friendlies and, if possible, I'd like to fix in another game for Thursday of this week.
"It's important to look at as many people as possible during this friendly spell."
