It is a case of all for one and one for all as far as Maldon Yacht Club brothers Iain, Richard and Philip Marshall are concerned.
All three are scheduled to compete at world championship level later this summer, but for Philip, 18, the youngest of the trio, it could prove to be a hectic month.
After taking out the family Devoti-built Snipe for the World Junior Championships at Club de Mar Almeria from August 17-25, he then has to trail the boat over to Santiago de La Ribera, near Alicante, so that Iain, 24 and Richard, 22 can take part in the Snipe senior world championships.
Not only that, but Philip has to hang around as emergency crew for his brothers and Britain's other representative, Brian Gregory, of Blue Circle Sailing Club in Kent.
''Obviously, we hope nothing goes wrong, but Philip will step in if any of us gets injured or is ill,'' said Richard.
There will be around 80 boats at the senior worlds and, barring accidents, the Marshall are confident that can finish in the top half of the fleet.
Lee Morgan, of Marconi Sailing Club, finished third in his Hurricane 5.9, Sport Enigma, in the multihull dinghies class of the Benfleet Yacht Club-organised Nore Race.
Stone Sailing Club's second-round of the Shearwater Travellers Trophy series was won by Mark Norman and Charlotte Clark, of Stokes Bay Sailing Club.
Geoff and Amy Tindale, in New Flame, of the home club, were runners-up, with Greg Wilcox and Ben Farnborough from Hastings & St Leonards Sailing Club third.
