A strong all-round performance gave Rankins a 37-run home win over Oldchurch in T Rippon Mid-Essex League Division Four.
Solid mid-order batting from Tony Woods (65), Gregg Dutton (49) and Stuart Hoyland (46) set Rankins on their way to 241-9 from 45 overs, with Altaq leading the Oldchurch attack with 3-49.
James (55) and Bremner (43) chased the runs for the visitors to Broomhills, Stambridge, before the Rankins attack bowled them out for 204 during the 38th over.
Gregg Dutton took 4-30 and Matt Brooking 2-41 to ensure Oldchurch failed to reach their target.

Budding cricketers will have a chance to improve their skills at two sessions organised by Basildon Council.
The council has arranged two days for youngsters between nine and 12 to develop their batting and fielding abilities.
Each session will be run by Essex County Cricket Board.
The first is at Gloucester Park, Basil-don, on August 4 between 10am and 1pm. Places must be booked by July 21 and cost £5.
Holy Cross Park, Fryerns, hosts the second session on August 18 between 10am and 1pm. Places must be booked by August 4 and cost £5.
