Gary Glenister and Mick Scott of the Essex Roads Cycling Club recorded their season's best time at 25 miles to date when taking third place in the ECCA 25 mile Tandem Championship.
They recorded 59m 6s on the A13/A128 based course on Sunday.
Bill Thomas recorded 4hrs 20m 32s in the club's own 100 mile event also held on Sunday. Bill also won second place on handicap. The event was won by Colchester's Rick Van Looy in a time of 3hrs 50m 28s.
Event organiser, Nick Hastler thanked all who assisted him with the event, with special thanks to members of the Becontree Wheelers and Colchester Rovers Cycling Clubs who helped the Essex Roads CC with the promotion.
Meanwhile, Graham Beale is leading in the evening 10 series with just four events to go.
Last year's champion, Beale, has 244 points from Brian Atkinson 195 points with Nick Hastler third with 179.5 points.
