CASSOWARIES........................162 all out
(Harold Park won by 94 runs)

Cassowaries were Harold Park's visitors to Raphael Park on Saturday and a 40 over match saw Park triumph by 94 runs.
Batting first Park were well served by their openers Cliff Leondiou and David Fenton, who for the third successive match in which they had opened together posted a century partnership for the first wicket.
The score had risen to 111 when Fenton fell lbw to McNeil for 45.
He was soon followed by Leondiou (bowled by Viggars for 46) and the score read 115 for two.
Danny Chaplin, playing only his second match of the season, was now in full flow and after being joined by Darren Collins, the pair kept the scorers busy.
The scoreboard was showing 164 when Collins became an Abram victim, being bowled for 21, but Chaplin kept plundering the runs and had taken the total to 223 when he was dismissed by Sayer for 60, an innings that included six fours and three sixes.
Further quick runs and a generous helping of extras saw Park total 256 for eight after 40 overs with Sayer (2-44), Viggars (1-43), Abram (1-21) and McNeil (4-41) being the Cassowaries wicket takers.
The early Cassowary batsmen all got into double figures but no one was able to play a major innings as wickets began to fall -- Abram (10), Harris (19), McNeil (19), Barraclough (34) and Lench (18).
By now the Park skipper was giving every player the chance of a bowl to encourage stroke play and to winkle out the remaining batsmen.
The ploy succeeded as Cassowaries were dismissed for a commendable 162, giving Park a victory by 94 runs with Haines (2-12), Reynolds (1-30), Haley (2-21) being the regular bowlers taking wickets and Duggan (1-21), Smith (1-18) and Collins (3-10) being the 'part-time' bowlers who enjoyed their brief moments of glory!
Credit was extended to the players of both sides who stuck to their tasks well in the hot afternoon sunshine.
