Colchester United were expected to be without three key players when they entertained East Anglian First Division neighbours Norwich City in a pre-season friendly at Layer Road last night.
Newly-installed team and club captains Warren Aspinall and David Gregory both suffered injuries in the U's first match at Canvey Island on Saturday, as did French defender Fabrice Richard.
But U's boss Mick Wadsworth said: "All the new players will be on show against a full-strength Norwich team and it is nice that we are being tested so early."
Kick-off is 7.45pm and admission will be £6 (adults), £3 (concessions).
The U's meanwhile, have unveiled a record kit sponsorship package valued at £100,000, with new Galleywood-based away sponsors Ridleys Brewery, home sponsors East Anglian Daily Times and sportswear manufacturers Patrick.
The U's are also on the lookout for new matchday stewards. Anyone interested is requested to contact the club, telephone (01206) 5088800.
