A party has been arranged at Meadows Shopping Centre in Chelmsford to welcome the arrival of the blockbuster movie, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.
The Star Wars premiere party has been organised by Waterstone Booksellers and the Odeon Cinema who are screening the film back-to-back until 5am.
Everyone who goes to see the film on Friday is invited to the party at Waterstones where fans will get the chance to discuss the movie.
An auction will also be held to raise money for Vicky Bristow, seven, from Chelmsford, who has cerebral palsy.
Cash raised from the sale of four life-sized replicas of droids featured in the movie, including R2-D2, will go towards sending the youngster to Hungary's Peto Institute for treatment.
