Tatem Park, Enfield, was the venue for a rollerspeed skating meeting hosted by London Rollerspeed Skating Club on Sunday at which skaters from the ECL Consultants Ltd sponsored South Woodham Ferrers & Wickford Rollerspeed Skating Club attended, on a wet and rainy day.
Steve Outen and Mark Smith both made the winners podium in Category 3 with second and third positions overall respectively, with Steve having race results in first in the 800m and third in the 1500m, and Mark third and second in the same races.
In Category 4, South Woodham had four skaters competing over 500m with Jonathan Wallis and Helen Warlow being eliminated from the final of six skaters in earlier heats.
The final had Jonathan Morrison finishing fourth and Matt Richardson sixth.
Matt then won the second race over 1000m to finish second overall.
Helen Warlow finished eighth (ninth and sixth), Jonathan Wallis ninth (ninth and ninth) and Jonathan Morrison 10th (fourth and dnr) out of 11 skaters.
Kevin Scott also made the winners podium by taking second place overall in Category 5, with race results of first and third over distances of 500m and 800m.
Chanelle Moore joined him, in third place, (fourth and fourth), and Sara Wallis was fourth (third and fifth), out of six skaters.
South Woodham took a 1-2-3 in Category 6, with Mark Burton first (first and first), Sam Morrison second (second and second) and Michael Mizen third (third and third) out of five skaters.
Billy Moore also had two firsts, in Category 7, to come first overall.
Jake Watkins was third (third and third), Chris Mizen fifth (sixth and fourth), Vicky Hodgkinson sixth (fifth and sixth) and Robert Whiting seventh (seventh and seventh).
The South Woodham & Wickford skaters are now looking forward to the club's own meeting this Sunday, (July 11), at Bromfords Sports Centre in Grange Avenue, Wickford.
The meeting starts at 1pm and is expected to last until approximately 5pm.
