This Is Essex partner paper the Evening Gazette has linked up with Colchester United to sponsor the main stand at the U's Layer Road ground.
And the deal, worth almost £10,000, will give readers the chance to win tickets to watch the U's in League and cup matches from the Evening Gazette stand.
Announcing the deal, the Gazette's Jim Clayton said: "This is good news for Colchester United, the Gazette and the community we both serve.
"It is fitting that the number one news organisation in Essex is forging even closer links with the premier football team in the county and we look forward to extending a very successful association with Colchester United.
U's managing director Stephen Gage added: "We are very pleased the Gazette has become involved. It continues the great relationship the club and the newspaper has enjoyed over the years.
"May it continue for many years to come, especially as we head towards our new stadium."
