Golfers scored a superb £15,000 boost for good causes when the 10th annual charity day was staged at Boyce Hill.
The money will be split between the three local hospices, Fair Havens, Little Havens, and St Luke's and adds to the the huge sum raised in previous years.
Victory went to London company EBS on 95 from Alan Daniels (92) and Capricorn (91). Fifty-six teams took part.
Said joint organiser Martin Britt: "It was another excellent day - keeping up the superb traditions of this competition.
"The total amount raised over the years must be well over the £100,000 mark now and obviously we'd like to pay tribute to all those who supported us."
Top soccer names involved included former Southend United manager Alvin Martin plus ex West Ham and England 1966 World Cup hero Martin Peters.

Rochford Hundred's Guest Day proved a close affair with the morning Stableford seeing two pairs tying on 48 points in the Four Ball Better Ball Stableford.
Peter Dolby and Ian D'eath beat Andy Dawbarn and Mark Gerrard (Upton-by-Chester) on countback.
The Texas Scramble front nine award went to George Kemp, Dean Lofts (Millbrook), Gerry Evison and Peter Forbes (Earls Colne) on 25.5.
On the back nine winners on 27 were Beris Edwards, Tony Woodruff (Royston), Steve Smyth and Dave Ashworth (Three Rivers).
Nearest the pin prizes were won by Nigel Cool, Cyril Elliott and John Sims.
Silver Stableford winner was Beryl Claxton (35) from Lesley Bailey (34), while Sally Smith (40) took the Bronze honours from Jenny Wade (35).
Lady Captain Barbara Ridgwell enjoyed glorious weather for her big day at Thorpe Hall and her prize went to Brenda Lockhart, whose 42 points tally just beat Julie Crocker and Betty Austin (41).
Anna Garside, a highly-rated golfer at the age of 17, took the scratch prize on 28.
Past captains' prize went to Audrey Caink and the committee award to Anne Tuson. Nearest the pin on the 13th was Mandy Bridge. Lesley Sullivan was best scorer on the short holes.
Sue Knowles had the best front nine and Hazel Tooley was tops on the inward half. Mary Parr took the veterans award and Esme Beales was top senior veteran.
The American Texas Scramble, over nine holes in the afternoon, again found the Thorpe course in what is generally considered to be the best condition for many years.
From the First, Freda Ginn, Shirley Essex and Beryl Gamon won on 30 net with Emma and Eunice de Vries winning the back nine prize in partnership with Betty Sharp.
Silver Stableford winner was Renata Jarvis on 42, while Christine Masters was the Bronze champion on 43.
Rochford Ladies senior veterans cup was won by Jill Austin on 34 from Dawn Atkins (33). Junior veterans champion was Tina Dye (41) from Jackie Waghorn 939). Belfairs blitz for Gribbon
A competitive field set out in search of Jerry Davenport's Captain's prize at Belfairs.
Several players matched or bettered standard scratch for the day and the Captain's prize was won by Alan Gribbon (11) on countback from Reg Owers (16). Both had 41 points.
Both players failed to score on one hole and it was Gribbon's birdies at 12 and 18 that saw him home.
Mark Dowding (20) was third on 40 and was left ruing his blob on the closing hole.
First prize for past and present committee members went to president Barry Meddle, while Kevin Buck took the scratch prize.
Simon Askins (veterans) and Trevor Bremerman ( cadets) both won on 38 points. Nearest the pin at the 10th was Robbie Lovett while Tony Fagg had the longest drive on the 11th.
In the afternoon, the ladies joined in to play a mixed Greensome over 13 holes. Awesome Thorpe get in the swing
Thorpe Hall's magnificently strong Thornton Cup team look well on course to retain the senior Essex team competition they won in such fine style last year.
In the third round they were at home to Abridge and pulled off a 13-2 success to earn a home quarter-final with Wanstead. The big match will go ahead at Romford on August 8.
Chances are that Wanstead could provide a stiff challenge as they went to Ilford on Sunday and pulled off a 9.5 - 5.5 victory.
Boyce Hill's run ended when they lost - also by a 9.5 - 5.5 margin - at Muswell Hill, while Rochford were on the wrong end of a 13-2 caning at Clacton.
Orsett did get through, beating Colchester 11-4 at home, and now take on Braintree at Clacton.

Macnaught's the top senior
The Essex Seniors Championship, played at Chelmsford for the Chelmsford Challenge Trophy, was won by Alan Macnaught, of Colchester Golf Club, with a two-round gross score of 145.
A former Essex player, Macnaught is a 52-year-old Scot and was captain at Colchester last year.
Alan Golbourn was runner-up on 147 with his Essex colleague Alan Connell a further stroke back.
Thorpe Hall's Brian Dick, fourth on 149. took the prize for best gross score on the second day. He had 73 with the first day award going to Henry Weber on 74.
Despite four star players being unavailable, Essex Colts kept up their great run in the South-eastern Golf League (northern section)) when they beat Berks, Bucks and Oxon 5.5 - 2.5 at Romford to chalk up their second successive victory.
Three established players, including James Elliot, from The Essex, Southend, had 100 per cent maximums, while Gary Cant (Wanstead) was the most successful of the new boys. He had a 4 and 3 success with Braintree's Andy Pye in the foursomes and suffered a narrow defeat in the singles.

A countback decided the winner of the men's event where Peter Murray won from Derek Entwistle. Both had 42 points. Murray's return in 23 decided the issue.
The prize for the longest drive on the first hole went to Peter Breathwick, while Tom Goodchild took the award for nearest the pin on the ninth.
Club champion Daphne Saitch had a convincing win in the ladies' competition with 42 points. Sue Cable was runner-up on 38. The captain and his wife presented the prizes.
Basildon's march towards the public courses team championship for the Clapham Common Shield continued when both the B and C teams pulled off great wins.
They now meet each other in the regional semi-finals for the right to take on the winners of the Basildon A and Belhus Park clash in the final.
The B team were five points up overall in the Greensome Stableford - winning by eight at home and losing by three away.
The C team triumphed by 19 overall against Fairlop Waters, They triumphed by 11 at home and eight away.
