Brentwood racer Annie Templeton, driving the 'Talk Radio' backed MGF, was back in action at Brands Hatch last weekend in round six of the 1999 MGF Cup Championship.
For Templeton, the weekend started with qualifying, where she qualified in 22nd place, ahead of Paul O'Neill (Sporty Spice's younger brother) and last year's Championship runner-up Alastair Lyall.
Brands Hatch was filled with controversy on Sunday, after an incident packed MGF Cup race that saw several drivers lodge complaints against fellow racers.
Officials held discussions with Matt Kelly (who had finished in second place) and Mark Humphrey (sixth) after the race -- they were subsequently excluded from the results, although Kelly is appealing to the sports governing body.
On the track, Templeton, who lives in Chivers Road, drove a steady race to finish in 17th position. She did well to stay on-track, after seeing five other cars fail to finish and two others being excluded.
Annie Templeton will be back in action at Silverstone in July, when the MGF Cup features as a support race at the British Grand Prix.
