Tiptree United Football Club have appointed Steve Parnell to the position of first team manager with the Club.
Parnell will take over the running of the club's Jewson League Division One team following the resignation of Keith Newman at the end of last season.
A former player at the Club in his teenage years, Parnell joins Tiptree following his departure from Jewson Premier League Club Halstead Town where he spent a successful period as both a player and first team manager.
Although still resident in Halstead, Steve has always maintained strong family links in Tiptree and is looking forward to the challenge of returning the Club to the top of local non-league football.
The appointment of Parnell gives a clear indication of the club's desires to build on the successes that were achieved last season under Keith Newman by his young team and Steve's experience, both as a player and premiership manager, could make the difference in the Club securing a promotion place next term.
