The Castle Park scoreboard records 50 as Colchester and East Essex stalwart John Wright celebrates his half century with the club.
Wright, of Great Horkesley, was one of the most prolific run-scorers in Essex club cricket and played for more than 30 years before he became chairman and then president of the club.
And to celebrate his half-century, Louis Pace and Bill Lucking, partners in Colchester-based chartered accounts Holm Lucking Pace, the club's main sponsors, brought along a bottle of champagne to the Park.
Making up the team is the club's youngest member, Robert George, seven, a member of the club's colts team.
