Hundreds of cyclists took to the roads around Chelmsford for the Great Essex Bike Ride, raising money for charity.
People of all ages and experience lined up for the annual event to boost the coffers of Farleigh Hospice and Barnardo's.
Riders got to choose between courses of 50, 25 and ten miles around the town's cycle paths.
The ten-mile ride was started by the deputy mayor.
Organiser Jen Mitchell said the day had gone well and was pleased that the rain had held off, while marshals were on hand at the half-way point to dish out water for those feeling the pace.
Money from the event will now be divided between the two charities.
