Colchester Golf Club juniors Rachel and Sarah Graves are looking forward to the rest of the summer after they both picked up trophies.
The sisters, of Vine Drive, Wivenhoe, are golf mad and have already decided they want to become professional golfers when they leave Colne Community School.
Rachel, 13, recently had her handicap cut from 18 to 14 after her performance for the winning Essex Girls team in the South of England Schools Championship at Mentmore Golf Club, Buckinghamshire.
As a result Rachel was one of six girls chosen to represent the South of England Schools against the North of England Schools in Lincolnshire next week.
Sarah, 15, who plays off 26, took second place in the recent Essex Girls Championship at Orsett Golf Club, scoring 12 points on the front nine and 24 points on the back.
Sarah would one day like to become a teaching professional and spent her work experience fortnight with Sarah Wilson at the Colchester Driving Range.
Among the big events coming up for the girls is the South East Girls Championship at Henley Golf Club, the Junior Open at Enfield Golf Club in July and the English Girls Challenge Trophy at Theydon Bois.
