Cameras will be rolling in Colchester this summer as filming gets under way for a new television drama which offers supersleuths a £30,000 jackpot.
TV Production Company Atlantis Virtual World will be making Keith Park's book The Treasure Trail for the small screen.
The drama follows a person who inherits a notebook from an elderly relative containing a series of clues but takes in love and murder on the way.
The solution actually lies in a container in the ground somewhere in mainland England or Wales. Whoever finds it can claim £30,000 and so far no-one has.
Mr Park said: "I wrote this book and another in an attempt to persuade people to visit other parts of the UK as many people know more of Spanish resorts than other parts of their own country.
"I expected this book to be solved really quickly but people tell me they just get absorbed in the story and never get around to sorting out the clues."
