Over 120 top MX stars from all over the country will be at the Halstead & District Motor Cycle Club's Moto-Cross circuit on Sunday when the club hosts the fifth round of the Honda British Moto-Cross Championship at Little Loveney Hall in Wakes Colne.
Riders will be competing in two classes, 125cc and Open class.
Top star in the 125cc class will be Jamie Dobb, his challenger for top honours will be from American MXC star, Mike Brown.
Two 19 year-old's, Stephen Sword and Mark Hucklebridge, are well down in points on the leaders, Dobb and Brown.
Frenchman, Luigi Seguy threat for a top ten place before Sunday's meeting hasn't been forthcoming due to injury.
Neither has one of the favourites for the 1999 125cc title, Carl Nunn, Carl has been out with an injured shoulder.
Open Class riders to look out for are on the So-Cal Husqvarna Paul Cooper, TBC Yamaha mounted Paul Malin.
Cooper and Malin take up joint leadership at the top of the points table.
Irishman Gordan Crockard is enjoying a top three place with South African, Rob Herring next then the 1998 Open Class Swedish star Jocke Karlsson followed in the points table by Scotsman David Campbell, James Marsh, Mark Jones, Mark Eastwood.
All round circuit viewing together with flush toilets are two of the advantages at Wakes Colne.
All types of refreshments will be available plus Trade Stands.
The action starts at 9.30am with practice/timed training, and the presentation of top riders is at 11.45 am, and the first race at 12.30 pm.
Admission is £8.00, for adults, with concessions for children, and a programme costs £1.00.
