Southend High School's Somma Power was jumping for joy after a win double in the Eastern Young Athletes League meeting.
Competing for Basildon on their home Gloucester Park track, Somma won both the long jump (4.91m) and shot putt ((9.45m) in the under-15 girls events.
She was part of a magnificent success story for the new town hosts who piled on 460 points to leave their rivals trailing.
Stevenage and North Herts provided the closest challenge way back on 246.
In the under-17 boys, M Calton (14.5s) won the 100m hurdles with D Stone taking the high jump on 1.90 and A Cramp the javelin on 49.60.
Basildon captured the under-17 (45.9s), under-15 (52.2) and under-13 (59.2) 4 x 100m relays.
The success story was just as prominent on the girls' side. For the under-17s, L Carty took the 100m in 13.1s and the 80m hurdles in 12.2.
The 800 went to A Joel in 2m. 20.1s and the shot to S Moles with 9.99. Winner of the discus, with 31.41, was E Moyse. For the under-15s the A 800m was won by S Ward with L Clifford collecting B honours.
The under-13 girls were also not to be kept out of the glory story. R Jones collected 100 and 200m victories with respective times of 14.0 and 29.4. J Butterworth emerged victorious in the 1500 in 5m 29.9 and the 4 x 100 relay team broke the tape in 57.5.
Basildon's brave home effort last Sunday carried on from some outstanding displays in their Southern Women's League match at Brighton the previous day.
Somma Power, Essex Champion pentathlete, had shown her versatility here by winning the 75m hurdles for under-15s in 12.6s and also taking the long jump with 5.19m.
Her Southend High School colleague Katie Flaherty won the 100m (13.1s), 200m (26.4) and B long jump (4.85).
For the women's age group, E Childs was first in the 400m in 57.5 and then collected the 800 in 2m.17.3s. A Joel's 1500m success came in 4m. 49.7s.
