Hockley defeated Woodford Wells 11 sets to three in the Essex Ladies' League Division Three.
Pat Townsley, Gill Ayres, Kirsten Mills, Val Birrell, Victoria Mills and Kate Bennet made up the winning team.
Westcliff Hard Courts beat Gidea Park 13-5 in Division One of the Essex Ladies' League.
The Westcliff team were: Tracey Chesher, Fiona Stone, Gemma Garvey, Vanessa Irvine, Steffi Rodrigues and Anna Burton.
Thorpe Bay's men were victorious when they took on Great Baddow in the Essex Men's League Division One.
Jon Lee and Simon Cuthbert won two sets, as did Graham Bloomfield and Dave Tubbs. However, Nick Williams and Lee Blackman dropped a set to leave the score 5-4 in Thorpe Bay's favour. Pierce and Pinker won three sets for Baddow.
Southend tennis players June Pearce and Joan Pednette were defeated in the National Hard Court Championships which were played at Queenswood School.
The duo lost 5-7 4-6 to Posters and Hodges, who they had recently beaten in the National Indoor Over-60 Championships.
Westcliff Hard Court player Ashley Compton-Dando and Hardwick Dorr lost in the finals of the over-45 doubles.
Thorpe Bay held its annual Gentlemen's Day on Friday. The day featured a fun tournament and an evening of entertainment.

Second from bottom Hockley were celebrating this week after holding current Men's Division One champions Westcliff Lawn to a draw.
Lawn, through Graham Byford and Michael Watson, took the first match 6-1 4-6 against Trevor Paterson and Stuart Rowson.
However, Alan Young and Jan Thorpe were able to even things up with a 6-3 6-4 win over Blase Walton and Martin Liu.
Hockley's Roy Bickell and Chris Bladon took the first set 6-3, but Martin Byford and Geoff Spiller equalised by taking the second set 6-3.

Two players new to Ladies' Division One went head-to-head when Kent Elms played Southend Lawn at home.
The duo - Elms' Debby Lincoln and Lawn's Laurel Padbury - faced each other in the final game, which Debby and Margaret Ward won 6-2 6-0. Earlier Mandy White and Dawn Collins (Kent Elms) had defeated Heather Bell and Sandy Bysouth 6-2 6-1, while Brenda Lincoln and Mary Moxom beat Sandra Payne and Lynn Webster 6-1 6-1.

Kent Elms' Bryan Bone and Terry Savage enjoyed a marathon match with Southend Lawn's Terry Prior and Graham Evans in The League Division One.
The Southend pair won the first set 6-4, before their opponents won the second 7-5.
Elms' Dawn Collins and Mandy White beat Sandy Bysouth and Stephanie Bell 6-2 6-3, and Lawn's Heather Bell and Tim Padbury defeated Margaret Ward and Pat Taylor 6-3 6-4.
