Rayleigh Boys were given a French lesson in the South-East Essex Mini Soccer League finals at Great Wakering.
In the under-9 Tigers final, two goals from French helped Trinity beat Rayleigh Boys 4-1 and win the John Sales Cup.
Rossi and Jones grabbed a goal apiece afterr FitzSimmons had given Rayleigh the lead.
In the under-9s Lions final, Leigh Rockets zoomed to a 2-0 win over Islanders with Sperring and O'Neill getting the goals. This gave them the CKG Cup.
In the under-8s, a second-half own goal saw Leigh Rockets to success against Rayleigh Boys. They took the Whiteley Cup.
Hamley Court were another team to suffer defeat after leading. They were 1-0 up through Watson in the under-8 Tigers final for the Dons Cup.
However, Burrell and Smith eventually saw Great Wakering to a 2-1 win on home soil at Burroughs Park.
Despite a spirited challenge from Ashingdon, the under-10 Broadway Cup went to Hotspurs, who pulled off a 2-0 victory with both goals being scored by Wright.

Under-8
Lions West winners - Trinity; runners-up - Hamlet Court. Tigers West winners - Hamlet Court; runners-up - Allstars. Lions East winners - Elmwood Colts; runners-up - The Dons.
Tigers East winners - The Dons; ruunners-up - Great Wakering.
Eastern promise - Elmwood Colts took the under-eight Lions East championship to seal a fine term
