A Billericay boss has been banned from running a company for seven years after his firm ran up debts of nearly half a million pounds.
The High Court heard that Ronald Theobald and his partner Kathleen Egglestone were directors of MEH(1996) Ltd until it went into receivership in October 1996.
The pair admitted they failed to co-operate with receivers and traded while their electrical engineering and manufacturing firm, based in Stratford, was insolvent.
The company had debts of £453,698 when it was taken over by the receivers.
Mr Theobald, of Noak Hill Road, was banned for seven years and Ms Egglestone, from Stratford, for six.
