Two primary schools in north Tendring could be joined together following a controversial review of primary education, it has been revealed.
Parents and villagers in Ramsey and Little Oakley are to be asked their views on plans to amalgamate Little Oakley Infants School with Ramsey Primary School.
They will also be asked whether the new 210-place school should be on the Ramsey School's current Wix Road site with either a completely new building or extensive improvements, a newly-built school at Lodge Road, Little Oakley, or a newly-built school at Pond Hall Farm, Ramsey.
Public meetings will be held at Little Oakley Memorial Hall on June 22 at 7.30pm and at Ramsey Primary School on June 24 at 7.30pm.
A decision will then be made on a possible further round of consultations in the autumn on a specific proposal.
