James Brown has today confirmed he will be appearing at the award-winning V festival in Chelmsford's Hylands Park for the second year running.
The legendary soul star enjoyed himself so much at V98 he has agreed to pay a return visit and will be headlining the MTV stage at V99 on Saturday, August 21.
The dance tent was bursting at the seams last year as festival-goers packed in to watch his sensational show.
While James Brown grooves away on stage, Brit Award-winner Finley Quaye will be filling his shoes in the dance tent.
Quaye, who has earned himself a reputation as a top live performer, will be oozing rhythm to Your Love Gets Sweeter Every Day and Sun Is Shining.
Also in the dance tent will be classic dub producers Sly & Robbie. On the Sunday, mixing heroes Orbital have been confirmed as dance tent headliners.
Orbital have been responsible for some of the most innovative electronic music over the past decade and their set will be a treat for dance music aficionados.
Ian Brown is also on his way back to Hylands Park, appearing on the same bill as soul mates The Happy Mondays.
Other new names announced by V99 organisers include Lamb, Ritchie Hawtin, Sneaker Pimps, Red Snapper, Mishka, Groove Armada and Nightmares On Wax.
Tickets are still available for the festival which features top names including Manic Street Preachers, Suede, Beautiful South and Massive Attack.
