Basildon Post Office stamped their authority on the Southend Wednesday League Cup with a 2-1 final suuccess over Rayleigh Police in the final at Cupids Country Club.
Matt Brooking's fourth-minute goal was a great start for the lawmen, but Russell Saggers levelled before the break and Keith Wallis grabbed the winner 18 minutes from time.
Fred Joscelyn, a great supporter of local midweek football, presented the trophy.
Back in the league, Basildon Police beat LTS Rail 5-0 and 6-1 with Allison grabbing four goals in all. Henderson and Fallows scored braces.
Southend Police won 4-1 at Chemico thanks to a double from Paul Ledger. Paul Byrne and Dave Graham wrapped up the scoring.
Coobewood won the Thundermite League's Under-11 League Cup final when they beat Stanford A on penalties. The teams were locked at 1-1 after extra-time.
In the Premier Division, Blackshots Colts beat Stanford A 5-2 with Meads (3) and Kean (2) scoring for the winners. Stanford replied through Herriott and Gibb.
Billericay Town beat Mill-house Boys 4-0 in Division A.
