A man died yesterday after his car collided with a parked trailer.
Police were today informing relatives and next-of-kin of the man, in his 60s, who was driving a blue Ford Sierra down Bramston Link in the Southfields industrial area, Laindon, towards Christy Way at about 3am.
The car collided with a trailer parked outside a Michelin tyre depot.
The Sierra driver, the only person involved in the accident, was certified dead at the scene.
Police say a post mortem examination will be carried out and are appealing for witnesses to call Laindon Traffic Unit on 01268 541312.
