The owners of a successful Witham satellite communications company with a £6 million annual turnover have sold up in order to devote their lives to God.
Entrepreneurs John Rogers, 61, and his wife, Jean, 60, who sold their company, Multipoint, to Silvermines Plc recently, will work unpaid for SAT7, an Arabic language broadcasting station based in Cyprus.
The couple said: "God has been so good to us we felt it was right to do our little bit."
Mr Rogers said: "SAT7 aims to strengthen the faith of three to five million Christian Arabs with the word of God"
Multipoint had humble beginnings 17 years ago in an Essex barn.
The company grew beyond the couple's wildest dreams and moved to Witham two years later.
