Braintree Rugby Club closed the season during their annual dinner/dance with the presentation of awards last week.
Before the awards were made, a ball signed by England prop Jason Leonard was auctioned, raising £750 for this year's chosen charity 'The Cot Death Helpline'.
In front of a full house, Club President John Leech made the many presentations.
Players-of-the-Season were won by - 1st XV, Mark Lewis; 2nd XV, Lee Haylock; 3rd XV. Ricky Whyatt; 4th XV, Karl Purdy; 5th XV, John Duffey; Vixens. Lucy Jarvis.
The award for being the club's most improved player of the season went to Ian Regan.
Special awards for outstanding work done 'On the field' were also presented to Mark Davy, Paul Haill, and Trevor Gardham.
For services given to the club for work done throughout the season behind the scenes the following awards were presented to:
Clubman of the year - Neville Potts;
Committee Member of the year - Dave Nightingale.
